William James (billy/whipet) died peacfully at home. He was born in Doncaster at Thorne lane ends,
into a Romany family. He spent most of his youth traveling the country. He did hawking to earn his
bit money, finally he settled in Armley where he met his wfe to be Betty. They went onto having 4
children Robert,Annette,Alison and Andrew. He was also the grandad to 9 grandchildren and a great
grandad to Tommy Lee, Joel William and Ella-May.
always missed
Hi grandad, just thought i'd drop you a few lines to say you are always missed and always will be. Your with the angels now so sleep tight n keep watching over my little baby xx Love you loads xx xx xx
wish we could have met
Hi Great grandad i wish i could have met you but unfortunatley we didn't.I'm sure my mummy will tell me loads of things about you when i'm older enough to understand. I'm 3months old now and mummy keeps saying that you and great grandma would have loved me dearly. Your up in heaven with angels now so sleep tight xx xx xx
In Sympathy
So sorry for your loss. My nan passed away in July and it feels like my whole world has been taken away. My thoughts are with you and your family. God bless. I hope you find this poem of comfort, as I have done. x
What is Dying?
A ship sails and I stand watching till she fades on the horizon and someone at my side says 'She is gone'.
Gone where? Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large now as when I last saw her. Her diminished size and total loss from my sight is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says she is gone there are others who are watching her coming over their horizon and other voices take up a glad shout 'There she comes!'
That is what dying is. An horizon and just the limit of our sight.
Lift us up, Oh Lord, that we may see further.
Missing you
Hi grandad just a few lines to say i miss n love you very much. I have a wonderful daughter called Ella-may she's only 12wks old. I wish you could have met her because you would be so proud of her. Everyone misses you and always will do xx xx Nite godbless you grandad xx xx
